Gintaras Milius (AIRIS) – a professional lithuanian percussionist living in the USA. He plays various percussion instruments (drums, vibraphone, marimba, timpani, percussion instruments). He graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music with a specialty in percussion instruments. He has played in various orchestras in Lithuania and during tours abroad (Lithuanian State Orchestra “Trimitas”, Klaipėda Musical Theatre, etc.). He worked as a music teacher in the percussion class. He also worked as a choir artist in the Šiauliai State Choir “Polifonija”. He has always been interested in various musical styles: jazz, rock, indie rock. After moving to the USA, he actively participates in various projects with jazz, rock, and classical music performers (World Jazz Ensemble “Streetdancers”, “Liūdni slibinai”, Arina, K. Smoriginas, Aldegunda, O. Vyšniauskas, “Žalvarinis”, “Sandalai”, Rokas and Sonata Zubovai, Chicago Choir “Dainava”). He has played at the World Lithuanian Song and Dance Festivals. In recent years, he has played with two different musical groups – the Chicago rock band “The Relevant” and the Lithuanian music band “Cigarai”. He is currently the drummer and percussionist of the band “Cigarai”.
